Shaun Ryan Media Claimed
Shaun Ryan is a freelance journalist based in Queensland, Australia.
After finishing school in Durban, South Africa, Shaun studied media and communications at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and graduated with a Masters degree in 2008.
He has print, radio and online experience.
Before relocating to Australia, Shaun was the news editor at East Coast Radio in South Africa.
A familiar voice on Durban’s airwaves, he was a finalist in the commercial news reader category at the 2019 Liberty Radio Awards – South Africa’s premier radio industry awards ceremony.
After settling in Queensland, Shaun worked as a reporter at the Fraser Coast Chronicle newspaper.
Freelancer
He started freelancing in July 2020.
In addition to freelancing, Shaun launched Good News Fraser Coast in February 2021.
The free online news platform aims to break the cycle of negative news and report on good, uplifting news stories from the community.
