YOUNG creatives are being encouraged to help design Fraser Coast Libraries new library cards.
The contest is open to Fraser Coast Libraries members aged up to 17 years.
There are no theme constraints so kids can create a design of their choosing. However, people should not to use lead pencils, light sketching or fluorescent colours as they do not reprint well.
Library users will have a say who wins the library card design competition through a public vote to choose the top three finalists in the below age categories:
- 0-5 years
- 6-12 years
- 13-17 years
The ultimate winners will be chosen by library staff. Winning entries will be printed on library cards and available to new library members at the Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Tiaro, Howard and Burrum Heads branches later this year.
Winners will receive a $50 Fraser Coast Open for Business Gift Card, accepted at more than 200 stores and venues across the region.
Entry forms are available at Fraser Coast Libraries branches and online by visiting the Fraser Coast Libraries website or Facebook page.
Entries can be submitted at any library branch by the close of business on Saturday, October 1.
Winners will be announced in November.
Entry is free.
Kids who are not yet Fraser Coast Libraries members are being encouraged to join and get reading!
